My Short Story

I’ve been a graphic designer my entire career. I’ve lived through the slow but steady transition from hand-drawn art boards to nearly everything being produced on a computer. As things moved to the digital world, work became more automated and had less human touch. Work that used to be done by a graphic designer is now done by an algorithm.

I’ve seen a parallel phenomenon in the dining world. Small, local restaurants run by passionate people have been slowly replaced by large conglomerates and fast food chains. Dining has moved from personal experiences to seeing the same restaurants every 10 miles down the road, where the food is exactly the same and often consumed in the car. Pro tip: Get off the expressway and drive through the small towns that have been bypassed. Slow down enough to discover quaint towns with one-of-a-kind diners, bakeries, coffee shops and taverns that are run by locals. And roadside stands with fresh produce, homemade honey and more. Life is about the journey and discovery, not the destination.

“Dinner is Served by Rich” is built around my passion for cooking and travel. We provide home-cooked meals where friends enjoy a fine meal in the comfort of their own homes. It’s a throwback to when we dined together over delicious food and wine, and enjoyed each other’s company. Let’s bring back the dinner party!
